The TytoHome device and virtual asthma care center is launching with a pilot group of select Dayton Children’s patients and are available at no cost to those families.

You can use TytoHome to be seen by a Kids Express provider at the same cost of an office visit.

Yes, TytoHome can be used by all of your children when experiencing a variety of symptoms or for minor illness, including fever, earaches, cold and flu, sore throats, rashes, bug bites, and more. It allows remote examination of the throat, lungs, ears, skin, and abdomen.

No! TytoHome is simple and easy to use. The TytoCare app guides you step-by-step on how to manage asthma during routine checks, and how to conduct exams when needed. We also have 24/7 support available at 937-972-0170.

The TytoHome device will connect you to a Dayton Children’s Kids Express provider. Our board-certified pediatric nurse practitioners provide high quality, affordable health care for children with minor illnesses like fever, earaches, cold and flu, sore throats, rashes, bug bites, and more. All appointment information will be sent back to your child’s primary care provider.

The Tyto Stethoscope is FDA cleared and all other devices comply with FDA requirements.

Exam data is sent via an encrypted, secure network and is stored on our HIPAA-compliant cloud. Only you and your healthcare provider can decide who can access your medical records.

You will need a smartphone or tablet and a Wi-Fi internet connection.

Your TytoHome kit is delivered approximately three business days from the time you submit your order. You will receive a confirmation email with your order number and a tracking link once your kit has shipped.

Setting up your TytoHome kit is easy and takes around 10 minutes. Here’s how:

· Have your Wi-Fi password ready and make sure your device is charged.

· Download the TytoCare app.

· Sign into your MyChart app and select ‘TytoCare Device Pairing’ from the menu. If you need help creating your MyKidsChart account, submit a request here or call 877-355-3155.

· Follow the in-app instructions to pair your Tyto device and set up the care center for the asthma patient.

· If you have multiple children, select the next child’s MyKidsChart account and tap ‘TytoCare Device Pairing’ from the menu

Yes, simply start a lung exam from the care center. There is a button that guides you step-by-step through the process. The app will alert you if a wheeze is detected.

The app includes a personalized diary that gathers all information in one place (medications, exams, etc.) and allows you to add any relevant comments (environmental changes, light coughing, weather, etc.). • Complete MyChart eCheck-in. Review and complete each page of the eCheck-in process and confirm your phone number in case the Dayton Children’s team needs to reach you. Make sure your push notifications are turned on for your MyChart app so you can receive updates about your visit.
• Click ‘Join Video Visit’ at your scheduled visit time. The TytoCare app will automatically launch, and you will be placed in a waiting room and notified when it is time for you to join your visit.

Yes, any other patients of Dayton Children’s can use the same TytoHome device to see a Kids Express provider. They must have a MyKidsChart account to schedule a Tyto Video Visit.
