The winners of the 2023 Academy Awards have been given their Oscars and “Everything Everywhere All At Once” is the big winner for the night, racking up 7 awards at the Dolby Theatre ceremony in Hollywood.
“Everything Everywhere” jumped out to an early lead, winning the supporting categories for actor (Ke Huy Quan) and actress (Jamie Lee Curtis), and later took home the best picture, lead actress (Michelle Yeoh), original screenplay, directing and film editing awards. “All Quiet on the Western Front” had a strong showing, earning honors for musical score, international feature, production design and cinematography. The nominations, announced in January, were led by “Everything Everywhere” with 11, followed by Netflix’s German war movie “All Quiet on the Western Front” and the Irish dark comedy “The Banshees of Inisherin” with nine apiece and “Elvis” with eight.
